An excellent manual for group or individual Bible
study. The 184 pages focus on the Gospel of Mark, with 15 to 22 ready-to-use, in-depth
study sessions, each exploring the powerful call to individual and social liberation that
is presented in the earliest of the biblical Gospels.
Each of these study sessions grows out of
work that was done by a multicultural adult Bible study group at Shiloh Baptist Church (Old Site) in
Fredericksburg, Virginia. The text for each session is serious, inviting, and passionate,
with discussion suggestions and many opportunities to connect the dramatic theology of
Mark with contemporary life.
This paperback book was
developed by A Distant Wind and published by Judson Press. The text is by
Mark William Olson, with cover and inside art by Cathleen Benberg.
